Pulsed Laser Deposition (PLD)

The LRI hosts a versatile PLD system using a XeCl excimer laser (308 nm) for ablation. It is being used by researchers form iTemba Labs and the Engineering Faculty of the University of Stellenbosch to manufacture a variety of thin layered samples.
